Virgin Mary Nativity Figure Rochard Limoges Box

Mary, gentle and watchful, takes her place in the Christmas story as a hand-painted porcelain figure. This Nativity piece is a Rochard Limoges box, created in the porcelain workshops of Limoges, France.

Blessed Among Women

Of all the figures at the manger, Mary is the quiet center, the young mother who pondered all these things in her heart. Rochard gives her a figure of her own, so a crèche can grow one cherished piece at a time.

• A Rochard Nativity figure from Limoges, France
• Stands with Joseph, the angel and the manger box
• Fits a Christmas, Marian or faith collection

Seasons of Devotion

Although she belongs to the Nativity, Mary is honored in many seasons: on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in December, through May devotions, and on Mother's Day. That makes this figure meaningful well beyond Christmas week.

Offer her to a new mother at her first Christmas, a godmother, a Catholic school teacher, or a friend named Mary or Maria. She looks peaceful on a bedside table near a rosary, on a mantel with candles, or among the other Rochard figures in a full Bethlehem scene. Families who add one figure each year often begin with her.
